CULTURE

Diversity: Our founders built a break-the-mold workplace — more diverse, dynamic, and collaborative. Today, our focus on inclusion ensures broader perspectives and supports superior outcomes. Since our founding in 1933, we’ve taken pride in driving diversity and inclusion in the legal profession and at our firm. Mintz consistently exceeds NALP peer averages on partner-level diversity across metrics — by persons of color, gender, and LGBTQ status.

Pro Bono: We collaborate with nonprofits, legal services organizations, in-house legal departments, and other law firms to provide legal assistance to those who need it most. Pro bono service is at the heart of our culture and identity. For our founders, helping people in need was an essential part of doing business. More than 85 years later, we advise and represent in excess of 300 pro bono clients each year. Attorneys and staff members from every Mintz office participate. Our partners in this work include nonprofits, legal service organizations, in-house legal departments, and other law firms. Together, we provide individuals with life-changing assistance and support the nonprofit organizations that care for our communities.

Community Service: We value giving back. Throughout the year, in each of our offices, we reach out to our communities to help in any way we can. Across the firm’s seven offices, our attorneys and professionals come together to support organizations doing good in our communities. We give our time and share our talents. We raise funds and donate needed items. Together we create and take advantage of opportunities to show up and contribute — partnering with groups that provide food and shelter, education, childcare, disease prevention and treatment, support for veterans, and other essential services to vulnerable individuals. One-time efforts often grow into seasonal traditions. Many of our nonprofit partners count on our support year after year.

Alumni: We stay connected to help alumni build strong networks and professional success. We’re committed to building lifelong relationships with our attorneys and professional staff. Through our alumni program, we focus on what’s important to you. Meaningful connections with the right people can help you succeed in your current position, as well as identify new opportunities. We help you maintain and expand your professional network. Our events, educational opportunities, and updates keep you informed and in the Mintz fold.

Leadership: Our forward-thinking leadership drives the firm’s ambitious agenda and keeps us growing to meet your needs. Our firm’s Managing Member and Chairman, Policy Committee members, and division and practice leadership collaborate to set the firm’s course — always with an eye toward providing the highest level of client service and maintaining a workplace built on mutual respect and collegiality. Together they have led the firm to three consecutive years of record growth.
