Job Description
Troutman Pepper’s Intellectual Property Department practice group is seeking a Patent Agent in either its Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Richmond, Rochester or Washington D.C. offices. Ideal candidates will have 2 plus years of experience with the following: preparing patent applications and managing patent prosecution under the supervision of a patent attorney; preparing and analyzing search results for patentability, and developing and implementing patent filing strategies. Knowledge and experience assisting with patent opinions, supporting intellectual property licensing and other general litigation and transactions is preferred. Ideal candidates will be able to manage a docket with multiple clients and deadlines, work in a fast paced, busy environment and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Candidates must also be licensed with the USPTO and have a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or significant experience with those technologies.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 – $175,000 dependent on years of experience and geographic location.
