Orrick is looking for a Managing Associate with 4-6+ years of experience to join its dynamic Employment Group in any of its California offices (Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Sacramento). Responsibilities would include working on high profile complex employment litigation cases, systemic discrimination wage and hour class actions, counseling clients on a wide variety of employment issues, and taking an active role in handling cutting edge legal matters. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, and creative with outstanding interpersonal skills, strong writing skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. The position offers the candidate the opportunity to assume significant responsibility to work directly with corporate clients, manage complex cases, take and defend depositions, make court appearances at important hearings, handle mediations, and other related work typically handled by mid-level associates.

The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, relevant experience, primary work location, market data, and internal equity. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have 4-6+ years of Employment Law experience in a major law firm, strong academic credentials, exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal skills and a member of the California State Bar.

Here are the targeted pay ranges based on a regular, full-time position in applicable Orrick office locations, including a National targeted pay range applicable to applicants who will work outside the locations described below:
Targeted Pay Range: California Major Markets* $295,000 – $370,000 | National [including California Minor Markets**, Washington & Colorado] $295,000 – $370,000
* California Major Markets includes San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County
** California Minor Markets includes Sacramento
