Orrick is looking for a driven partner-track Associate or Managing Associate with 3 to 5+ years of experience to join its dynamic Employment Group in any of its California offices (Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Sacramento), with a preference for Northern California locations. Responsibilities would include working on pre-litigation matters, high profile single plaintiff employment cases, systemic discrimination and wage and hour class actions, Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) representative actions, responding to administrative charges, counseling clients on a wide variety of employment issues, and taking an active role in handling cutting edge legal matters. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, creative, practical, and have outstanding interpersonal skills, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. The position offers the candidate the opportunity to assume significant responsibility to work directly with corporate clients, manage complex cases, take and defend depositions, make court appearances at important hearings, argue motions, handle mediations, and other related work typically handled by mid-level associates.

For the eighth year in a row, Orrick is one of Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For, the annual list that recognizes companies with extraordinary workplace cultures. Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of Employment Law experience, strong academic credentials, exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal skills and a member of the California State Bar.

The expected salary range for this position is between $310,000 and $390,000. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. Consistent with the SF Fair Chance Ordinance, an arrest and conviction record will not automatically disqualify a qualified applicant from consideration for employment. For attorney positions, a ‘qualified applicant’ is an individual who is a member of the State Bar of California, admitted in good standing, and is eligible to practice[1]; or whose admission to the State Bar of California and eligibility to practice remains subject only to successful completion of the California Bar Examination. Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered for the position in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring.
