Responsibilities

Orrick’s Technology Companies Group is seeking an Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience with a passion for high-growth emerging technology businesses to join the Austin, Boston, New York, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Seattle, Silicon Valley, or Washington, D.C. office.  The ideal candidate will have deep experience and passion for blockchain technology and for helping blockchain companies at all stages of growth by advising on venture capital financings, token issuances, corporate structuring, and DAO formation, helping clients think and work through an evolving regulatory landscape, in addition to general venture capital and tech company corporate transactions. We represent innovative companies and investors at all stages. Our network includes more than 4,500+ high-growth tech companies globally, more than 500 YC graduate companies, 13 of the world’s 25 biggest tech companies, and 400+ investors.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of Emerging Companies Venture Capital and/or Blockchain/Crypto experience in a major law firm.
  • Candidates must be highly motivated, possess excellent academic credentials, exceptional verbal, and written skills along with superior interpersonal skills. 
  • Membership to the State Bar of the office of the state in which the candidate expects to be located is required.

 

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $235,000 - $310,000.

 

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick’s estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography.   Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
