Job Description

The Opportunity

Golenbock’s Corporate Practice Group seeks a mid-to-senior securities associate who has substantive experience with ’33 Act and ’34 Act matters, particularly in the context of public and private offerings, M&A transactions and general SEC reporting requirements. Some experience with the Investment Company Act and/or Investment Advisers Act is a plus, but not required. The focus of the firm’s SEC practice is small-cap companies and underwriters working in the venture capital, pre-public, IPO, and post-public markets.  The securities attorney will also have an opportunity to expand his or her experience by working on general corporate and transactional matters within the broader Corporate group. Clients include mid-cap and small-cap broker-dealers and issuers from the U.S. and other jurisdictions such as Canada, UK, P.R.C., France, and Taiwan, along with the firm’s private equity, venture capital and other general corporate clients.

Golenbock offers associates:
Hybrid work model
Friendly, collaborative working environment
– Billable hour expectations significantly below that of Big Law
More competitive hourly rates, enhancing the ability to develop business.
Golenbock also offers a fee sharing arrangement on sourced clients, as well as a full range of elective health benefits.

The ideal candidate has cut his or her teeth at either a “Big Law” or mid-sized firm and is now seeking greater control over their work and life. Associates who succeed at Golenbock are ready for the opportunity to work directly with clients on small teams and take on significant responsibility for their matters.

The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $275,000, depending on the candidate’s specific skillset and number of years of relevant experience.
