Job Description

Golenbock’s Corporate Practice Group seeks a mid- to senior-level associate or counsel level attorney with a strong background in middle-market, private company M&A transactions to join our team advising the firm’s diverse group of private equity, independent sponsor, family office, strategic and growth-stage clients. For this particular role, we are seeking an attorney with significant experience in the following areas:

  • Representing buy-side and sell-side clients in all forms of mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, joint ventures and other strategic transactions;
  • Drafting and negotiating principal acquisition agreements and ancillary documentation;
  • Advising on rollover and management equity arrangements; and
  • Managing deal teams and coordinating all aspects of a typical M&A process from pre-signing through closing.

In addition to our M&A practice, our Corporate Practice Group also has a strong and growing emerging companies/venture capital practice. Some experience is this area would be preferred, but is not required for this particular role.The ideal candidate is team-oriented and has effective communication skills, a good work ethic, and an ability to manage/grow client relationships. While there is no portable business requirement for this position, we would welcome and support a candidate with a desire to develop or grow their practice over time.

The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $275,000, depending on the candidate’s specific skillset and number of years of relevant experience. Golenbock also offers a fee sharing arrangement on sourced clients, as well as a full range of elective health benefits.
