Mid-Level Associate, Financial Lines Litigation

Robinson+Cole, an AmLaw 200 firm, seeks an associate with three to six years of complex litigation experience to join the Financial Lines team of its Insurance + Reinsurance Practice in New York City.

Robinson+Cole has one of the leading insurance coverage and litigation practices in the United States and supports leading international insurers and underwriters across multiple lines of business, including financial lines, professional liability, commercial general liability, construction defect, and first-party property.

We are looking for a candidate with superior academic credentials, excellent writing and analytical skills, and large-firm or equivalent litigation experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be expected to assume substantial responsibility for all aspects of case management, including drafting briefs on critical motions, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and conducting arbitrations and trials. Experience in insurance policy analysis and litigating coverage disputes is preferred but not essential.

Admission to the New York bar is required. Law review experience and/or judicial clerkship experience are a plus.

New York Applicants: Please note that the target base salary range for this position for New York based candidates is $190,000 to $210,000. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s class year, years of experience, skills, qualifications, and office location.
