Clyde & Co seeks a litigaton associate with 4-6 years of experience to join our newest partners in our dynamic Miami office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with litigation experience who has an interest in working on complex insurance and commercial disputes. This thriving practice represents insurers in high-stakes disputes, litigating coverage issues and defending insurers in bad faith disputes and insurance class actions, in matters involving general liability insurance, property and casualty insurance, directors and officers liability insurance, first party property, professional liability insurance, and life insurance.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Draft and review pleadings, briefs, interrogatories, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents;
- Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties;
- Attend and conduct depositions, hearings, and mediations as required;
- Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions and provide coverage recommendations for clients; and
- Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda.
Education and Experience Required
- Admitted to practice in Florida;
- Excellent academic credentials;
- 4 to 6 years of experience, with commercial litigation or insurance coverage litigation experience preferred;
- Experience or interest in working on complex insurance coverage matters;
- Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
