We have an immediate opening for a Commercial Litigation Associate with three to five years of experience. While our Kansas City office is preferred, we will consider candidates for any of our offices including our virtual office, The Link. Candidates should have an active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which they are applying or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit.
The candidate should have experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation and a demonstrated proficiency in legal research. This includes, but is not limited to, experience with conducting factual investigations and discovery, including eDiscovery and the Relativity platform, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, arguing motions, participating in mediation, and communicating with clients. An employment-specific litigation background is preferred. Experience using Artificial Intelligence to conduct legal research is beneficial as well.

The candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position in Denver, Oakland, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC only is $205,000 to $230,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data. Associates are eligible for an Associate Performance Bonus and Client Development Bonus.
