Thompson Coburn is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the drafting, negotiation and closing of commercial lending transactions, with experience in issues involved in Article 9 secured transactions and intercreditor arrangements. Experience with tax-advantaged financing, various tax credits, real estate and/or mergers and acquisitions is preferred but not required. This attorney would work closely with a small group of partners who are highly motivated in training and investing in the right candidate for a long-term role within the group. We are looking for someone who is motivated, enjoys working hard (and being rewarded for doing so) and is not easily overwhelmed when faced with multiple demands on their time.
The practice is an active and diverse commercial finance practice with a focus on tax-credit subsidized equity and debt financings. Transactions are multi-faceted, often involving public/private partnerships with two or more sources of debt financings and multiple equity investors. The successful candidate will be an outgoing self-starter who can quickly take an active role in the documentation, management and closing of these transactions and will be expected to work closely with all transaction parties, including banks and other financial institutions, private equity firms, state and local governments, and their respective counsel.
Candidates should be licensed to practice in Missouri.
