Attorney, Energy/FERC

Thompson Coburn is seeking an Energy Attorney with a minimum of seven years of experience for its Washington, D.C. office.  All candidates should have substantial experience with FERC practice, including FERC litigation and settlement, experience with and knowledge of the regulated energy markets, including ISO/RTO market stakeholder proceedings, background advising clients regarding energy and/or capacity market participation issues and power supply arrangements, excellent analytical and writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to function independently and within a team environment. The ideal candidate also will be capable of taking on substantial roles in and responsibility for project management and be comfortable with client interaction.

Candidates should be admitted to the District of Columbia Bar.

The salary range for this position in our Washington D.C. office is $240,000 - $280,000 . Actual salary will vary and may be above or below the range based on relevant skills, training and other job-related factors. The range listed is just one of Thompson Coburn’s total compensation and benefits package for associates, which includes productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
