The Goodwin story began with a chance encounter on a Boston sidewalk in 1912. After some friendly conversation, two young lawyers, former classmates from college, decided to start their own law practice.

    • Committee on Racial and Ethnic Diversity (CRED) seeks to foster a deeper sense of community and engagement for lawyers of color and to help them navigate life at Goodwin. CRED has also developed an initiative to specifically support our women lawyers of color.
  • PRIDE
    • Pride@Goodwin focuses on recruiting, advancing, and retaining LGBTQ+ lawyers and promoting a culture of inclusion across the firm. Pride has partnered with US organizations such as GLAD, The National LGBTQ Bar Association and the Transgender Law Center to develop and produce a series of pro bono participation events.
  • WOMEN
    • Women@Goodwin focuses on advancing and retaining women lawyers at Goodwin. We are increasingly employing an intersectional approach as part of our DEI strategy and initiatives, including supporting a CRED initiative dedicated to engaging and supporting women lawyers of color.

Pro Bono Service
