ECVC Mid-Level Associate

We have immediate openings for experienced Emerging Company and Venture Capital Associates, to be based in our San Francisco and San Diego offices (and potentially open to other locations).

Ideal Candidate:

Our ideal future colleague will be a high performer, with 3 – 6 years of significant experience in emerging companies and venture capital work.

• Experienced with start-ups and emerging growth companies, including seed and venture capital financings and public offerings. A minimum of ten venture financings using NVCA documents is required,
• The ideal candidate will also have some experience domestic M&A transactions particularly for startup companies and investors.
• Proactive, with a strong business sense and the ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.
• Experience working in a premier corporate practice.
• Involvement with, or an affinity for, technology, life sciences, and/or CPG businesses.
• Ability to concisely and effectively communicate complex matters in oral and written form.
• Commitment to delivering excellent client service.
• Entrepreneurial, innovative and forward thinking.
• Excellent business and legal problem solving skills and judgement.
• A strong work ethic, team player attitude and action-oriented interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility for transactions.
• Bar Admission in California is required.

Where required by law, salary ranges are stated below. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, health/welfare benefits (including parental, adoption, and fertility benefits), flexible time off, and paid holidays. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: market data and ranges; an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience (including class year); and, certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.

San Diego, CA annual salary range: $260,000 to $390,000
San Francisco, CA annual salary range: $260,000 to $390,000
