Managed Care and Employee Benefit Litigation Associate

Robinson+Cole, an Am Law 200 firm ranked #17 in Vault’s “2024 Best Law Firms to Work For,” seeks an associate to join its expanding Managed Care and Employee Benefit Litigation Group in its Philadelphia, New York City, Wilmington, or Washington, DC offices.

The ideal candidate will have two to four years of complex litigation experience, strong academic credentials, excellent writing and analytical skills, and large-firm or equivalent experience. The successful candidate will be expected to assume substantial responsibility, including making court appearances, managing discovery, participating in depositions, and drafting briefs on critical motions. Judicial clerkship experience is a plus. Experience litigating ERISA benefits, medical provider disputes, and/or insurance coverage disputes is preferred, but not required.

Our Managed Care and Employee Benefit team provides comprehensive employee benefits litigation services to a wide range of clients throughout the country. We represent large employers, leading companies in the health, life and disability insurance markets, and other clients involved in the operation and administration of benefit plans. The Managed Care and Employee Benefit team is a regional and national leader in the field, litigating cutting edge issues in important cases with a recognized history of excellence.

Preferred candidates will be admitted to one or more of the following state bars: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania. Please note that all R+C attorneys must be admitted in the state of their primary office location.

New York Applicants: Please note that the target base salary range for this position for New York based candidates is $185,000 to $195,000. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s class year, years of experience, skills, qualifications, and office location.
